Village of Rochester

Reflections of the past ...The Town of Rochester (one of the first settlements in the Wisconsin Territory in 1837),  and the Village of Rochester, incorporated in 1912, are located in Western Racine County in the State of Wisconsin. Rochester offers a unique quality of life found only in smaller rural areas and yet is within easy commuting distance to Milwaukee, Racine, Waukesha and Lake Geneva job markets. Nestled between the larger communities of Burlington and Waterford, Rochester has been able to retain a unique small town charm along with farming and country life styles.

The Village of Rochester and the Town of Rochester consolidated on December 16, 2008. The new ‘Village of Rochester’ offers a unique quality of life for those who like small town living and for those that like to farm or just live in the country.  The Fox River offers opportunities for Fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Rochester has five park areas that offer Hiking, Bicycle Trails, Baseball and Soccer fields and plenty of room to enjoy nature. The Honey Creek Wildlife Areas offer 1023 acres of wildlife preservation.  Public Hunting allowed during appropriate seasons.
