The following actions have been taken locally to help minimize the spread of the virus:

State of Wisconsin:  Effective at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, all public and private gatherings less than 10 people are prohibited; and all bars and restaurants shall close, except as provided in EMERGENCY ORDER #5

Village of Rochester:
Administrative Services.   Until further notice, office hours have been suspended.  We ask that any business that can be conducted via phone, mail, and email be conducted that way.  At the very bottom of this page, you will find a list of Department Contacts, phone numbers, and email addresses.    After our initial contact by phone or email and, if still necessary, we will gladly make alternative appointments to meet in person.

Village Meetings.  All meetings of the Village of Rochester Board of Trustees and Village of Rochester Committees will be held remotely until further notice.   All notices and meetings of the Village of Rochester will continue to meet Wisconsin’s open meeting law requirements.

The Rochester Public Library Building is closed to the public until further notice but they are offering online and pick up services to the public for their collection only.   Visit the library’s website for more details:  https://www.rochester.lib.wi.us/

The Rochester Volunteer Fire Company has cancelled all in person meetings and trainings at the Station until at least May 15th and have begun restricting visits at the station to members and walk-in patients only until further notice.  They have developed a plan to ensure that emergency services are still available to our community should we begin to lose employees or volunteers due to this outbreak.

Garbage and Recycling Services will continue on their regular schedules.
