October 4, 2021 Public Hearing for Ordinance No. 2021-4

Notice is hereby given by the Village Board of the Village of Rochester, Racine County, Wisconsin of a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2021-4 “AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL AND RE-CREATE CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE VILLAGE CODE REGARDING LAND DIVISION DUE TO AN UPDATE TO THE VILLAGE’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN” to be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rochester Village Hall, 300 West Spring Street.

DAY IN THE COUNTRY – Saturday, September 18, 2021

Village of Rochester Business Owners are hosting the 25th Anniversary of “A Day in the Country” on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

This a day of good ‘ole fashion fun! Activities will include a car show at the Rochester Fire Department, a bike show at Fox River Audio, art & crafts in the church court yard and along Main St., and unique shopping at the village stores. 

There will be food and entertainment throughout the Village, shopping, petting zoo and more! Come stroll the streets of our quaint village and find yourself back in time. Rochester is the hidden jewel of Racine County. People come from afar just for this fall festival.  Keep a look out for the 25th anniversary commemorative t-shirts for sale!

August 3, 2021 Historic Preservation Meeting

Notice is herby given that a meeting of the Historic Preservation Committee will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:30 at the Rochester Village Hall located at 300 W. Spring St.

Free Household Waste, Electronic & Appliance Disposal
Join us for the 2021 Clean Sweep Program Where you can drop off household hazardous waste, electronics and appliances on Saturday, August 14, 2021. 8a.m. – noon
City & Town of Burlington, Town of Dover, Village of Union Grove, Village of Rochester and Village of Waterford have collaborated to hold this event at the City of Burlington Public Works Facility, 2100 S. Pine St., Burlington. You must be a resident of the listed communities and show current identification to participate in the hazardous waste collection program. NO LATEX PAINT OR MEDICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED.
A fee of $35 will be charged for each television /monitor. – CASH OR CHECK ONLY.


Pursuant to s. 70.45, Wis. Stats. the assessment roll for the Year 2021 assessment will be open for examination starting on the 21st day of June, 2021 at 8:30 a.m., until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, the assessor shall be available on the 23rd of June, 2021 at the Village Hall, 300 W. Spring St., Rochester, WI, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Instructional material will be provided at the open book to persons who wish to object to valuations under s. 70.47, Wis. The Assessment Board of Review for the Village of Rochester shall hold its first meeting on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rochester Village Hall, 300 W. Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Board of Review will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Rochester Village Hall 300 W. Spring Street, Rochester Wisconsin at 6:15 p.m.

Open to the Public!!

The Rochester Village Hall and Rochester Library are now open to the public.

The Rochester Village Hall is now open for in person business. We will continue to adhere to Central Racine County Health Department and CDC guidlines. We encourage the wearing of masks and have santitation protocols in place. We still encourage you to use our outside dropbox for such business as paying your sewer uitlity bills and or paying for dog licenses. We have and will continue to take passport applications in person. The Village Hall business hours are M-F 8:30a – 4:00p. Any questions please call 262-534-2431.

The Rochester Library will continue to adhere to Racine County Health Department and CDC guidelines. We will require masking, social distancing and hand sanitizing protocols. With that in mind, we feel that with OUR PATRONS COOPERATION we will be able to offer a carefully planned, modified summer program for our young patrons. As always the health and safety of our staff and families remains our primary concern.
